Project-Based Learning is an authentic process for learning, but will not be an easy transition for most. However rewarding, this student-led model requires realistic goal setting and awareness from stakeholders leaning towards implementation. Use our levels below to determine where your institution stands with project-based learning.

PILOT
See what Project-Based Learning is all about and if it will work for your school.
Schedule professional developments for school districts, administrators, teachers, etc. Schedule days to test with students. Visit other schools already using the curriculum.
FEATURES
Used at different times throughout the school year (monthly school wide projects, specific grade levels, classroom centers).
Projects may be completed once a semester, used as a school-wide grade level competition, used during parent/PTA nights, and/or used to run centers for students in the classroom.


SUPPLEMENTAL
Continuously used across all grade levels as extended work during class after students have completed their daily assignments, in after-school programs, etc.
Used daily as an extension of learning in a regular routine. Students will always have content to explore.
PBL PRO
Ready to use STEMMIX as a full year’s curriculum. It can be used as an elective, core class, or in a STEM class.
Use the curriculum as intended or as close as intended based on the needs of the student population and/or institution.

This portfolio serves as the guide for students in grade 5 up to adults with provisional supervision from the start until complete autonomy can be achieved. Full of text, without pictures nor color, students are to focus on mastering various basic level STEM and soft skills creatively
to produce the projects. There are 50 pages front and back in this consumable notebook that students can write in, and every student should receive their own.

K-4 Portfolios
This portfolio serves as the guide for students in Early Childhood grades up to grade 4 to complete mostly with supervision until gradual release can be achieved. Full of large text, with pictures and color, students are to focus on utilizing the steps in the engineering design process, exploring STEM careers, and learning to help solve problems. There are 50 pages front and back in this consumable notebook that students can write in, and every student should receive their own copy.
